Sansevieria Fernwood, also called Dracaena Fernwood, Sansevieria Fernwood Punk, Fernwood Snake Plant, Snake plant and Mother in Law’s Tongue.

This form of Sansevieria has long emerald green leaves with pointed ends and snake-like striped patterns in lighter shades.
They can reach up to a height of 4 feet, and can be grown as a striking architectural feature plant in a pot as a solo plant or grown as a clump.

As with most of the Sansevierias, this African native snake plant is almost indestructible unless you water it in excess.

Best grown in dappled shade or soft morning light if outdoors, specially in summer.
They’ll survive full sun but their leaves may get burned or their colours washed out with direct sun.
They’re heat lovers, so if you live somewhere cold…keep ’em indoors in the winter. (NOT frost tolerant)

These beauties have been grown in dappled shade in coastal Central Queensland. Well drained soil. Let soil dry out in between waterings.

THIS IS A MIRACLE PLANT!
Did you know that Snake plants are one of NASA’s top plants for cleaning air inside living spaces?

Each leaf of Sansevieria contains Pregnane Glycoside that is able to decompose toxic compounds into organic ones.

There are around 107 pollutants that can be absorbed, including cigarette smoke. The absorbed pollutants will be converted into oxygen by the plants.

Snake Plants actively absorb EMF radiations that are caused by electronic devices. It is suggested to put the plants in the living room or in areas which has television or a wi-fi router.

Sansevieria produce more oxygen than most other plants. They are packed with an unusual concentration of chlorophyll, making them a photosynthesis powerhouse.

They also have an unique scent. In some countries like China and France, the plants is used as fragrance.
Their pleasant aroma and antiseptic properties makes them suitable to get rid of unpleasant smell in the bathroom or the kitchen.

Snake Plants will absorb substances and pollutants like carbon dioxide, cigarette smoke or the effect of air conditioning overuse. It’s the perfect plant to deal with Sick Building Syndrome, caused by poor airflow.
