She may have minor imperfections in a leaf or two. Grown in a beautiful garden in Central Queensland, sold as is.

Plants will vary in shape, size and colour variation, but each one is roughly at the same stage of growth as the one is the pics.

Wait to put your caladiums outdoors until two or three weeks after the last frost date. Nights should be warm and the soil temperature should be 18-21°C.

These Caladiums have kept their leaves throughout winter when grown in full sun here in central Queensland.

In summertime though, bright shade or early morning sun only.

Like most plants, caladiums grow best in fertile, well drained soil. For pots, use a good quality potting mix.

Caladiums can be grown in containers or clumped together within beds and borders.

The plant’s large, arrow-shaped, paper-thin leaves come in a striking array of colors and patterns. A mass of caladiums is an explosion of whites, greens, reds, and pinks that are mottled, veined, and striped.

They can easily offer the visual impact of having planted flowers while only being foliage plants. Though they are grown mainly for their foliage, they do produce some flowers, which start in the form of spathes, or spikes.

If you love the look of the elephant ear plant (Alocasia spp.), but you’re on the hunt for more colourful varieties, then caladiums are perfect for you!

Not to be outdone by their larger relatives, caladiums shine all on their own with their wide array of colours from green leaves with speckles of white, and green with white and pink centres. So if you happen to have too much green (is there really such thing?) in your indoor jungle, caladiums are a perfect partner to brighten up the room.

With lush multicolored leaves, many times larger than the palm of your hand, caladiums have become one of the most popular foliage plants for shady or semi-shady gardens with many recent introductions being sun tolerant. Each leaf seems to be hand painted with striking combinations of green, white, pink, and red.

Although these tropical South American natives thrive in hot, humid weather, they can be grown as summer bulbs in more temperate climates, or even as houseplants given the right conditions. With a little pampering, these exotic shade dwellers create a glorious display rivaling that of any flowering plant.
